Fly Fishing In Maine and Casting For Recovery renew their partnership this June 3rd with the 12th annual day camp for alumni of Casting For Recovery. This years’ camp will be hosted by the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust (RLHT) at the Cupsuptic Lake Campground on Route 16 in Rangeley. The campground sits right on Cupsuptic Lake and the facilities are awesome! The event will host 23 participants from Casting For Recovery. Each of the participants will have their own guide for the day and will spend the day on Rangeley’s famed waters in search of brook trout and salmon. “This is one of the best days I have on the water every year. CFR day is about giving back and I know that the guides get just as much out of the day as the sports do, said Registered Maine Guide Courtney Nickerson.

The weekend kicks off with a welcome reception on Friday, June 2nd to be held at the Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum in Oquossoc.

The reception and day camp are being sponsored by L.L. Bean, Baxter Brewing, Craft Beer Cellar, Fore River Brewing, Oquossoc Grocery and flies by Fly Tiers Anonymous with fly boxes donated by J. Stockard. Dinner will be prepared by Dave Borman and desserts are donated by Anne Torregrossa.
