CFR Day Camp

IMG_1888This year marks the 10th annual FFIM day camp in support of alumnae of Casting for Recovery.  We have expanded the event to include not only our day long day camp but also an afternoon float trip on the Kennebago River along with a morning cruise on Rangeley Lake courtesy of Rangeley Lakes Cruises.  The event kicks off on Friday June 5th with a welcome reception to be hosted by the Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum.  Guests will be treated to a private after hours tour of the museum and get to see some of the regions preserved history.
“We never thought that we’d be running this event for 10 years but it has turned out to be one of FFIM’s favorite events for both sports and guides says FFIM’s Ken Beaulieu.  We usually have a waiting list for CFR sports and the guides spots fill up in a matter of hours”.  Craig Beauregard has participated in the event as a volunteer every year and it has become one of if not the best day on the water for him.  “I love this event and I’ve developed many great friendships with some of my CFR sports, says Beauregard.”
There will be 23 CFR sports participating in the events on Saturday June 6th so if you are out and about fishing in the Rangeley area say hello to our teams.  Many thanks to this years’ sponsors including the Rangeley Region Guides Association, Oxbow Brewing, Baxter Brewing, Rangeley IGA and Oquossoc Grocery.
